Honestly on a weekday the protests aren’t particularly big as far as I can tell. There might be several, but they’re not over a hundred big. It’s kind of silly seeing the military response to such a small crowd, though.
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

It helps when they say they’ll get rid of their billions after death, like Gates recently said. I don’t particularly trust them to actually do that, although his and Buffetts actions do suggest they don’t just want to hoard wealth like an dragon. They like influence too much to prematurely give up that wealth, though.
The news is really trying to sensationalize it but yes, it’s by and large very peaceful. Also for some reason, line dancing.
Honestly their algorithm seems to mostly push low quality, South Asian, and/or AI generated content lately, when randomly playing off of something like Ms Rachel or Sesame Street. Nothing disgusting, although maybe a little trippy (in AI case). My daughter really digs the Bollywood inspired kids stuff though.
I’ve been using Launchbox, especially since I play emulator games. They’ve improved the efficiency of large libraries and added support for RetroAchievements, although I manually toggle completion status since I don’t always use it to launch my games so the time tracker isn’t accurate.
More importantly it let’s me hit randomize, so if I’m feeling adventurous it’ll pull a game from my backlog I might have got from anywhere.
I keep Java installed for one thing and one thing only… modded Minecraft.
Less than the majority is depressing, but don’t forget how the media is covering this. MAGA eats this shit up, obviously, but even your standard semi-informed people are getting “riots on the street of LA” bullshit on their local news outlets.
I’m actually a little surprised it’s “almost half” in disapproval, given how badly this is covered. I wonder if TikTok and Bluesky are helping, the latter being obvious but the former being surprisingly good at showing what’s actually happening on the ground-- at least a lot better than Meta and X options.
