- At its Xbox Showcase on Sunday the publisher unveiled many, many new trailers.
- Some of the highlights include Gears of War: Reloaded, The Blood of Dawnwalker and a new title from Don’t Nod, Aphelion.
- There are many many interesting titles coming to the Xbox ecosystem over the next year or so.
It wasn’t that good. Even persona 4 revival (p4 is my favorite of the series" looked like a half assed job. Like worse than 3 reload. Nothing stood out to me the whole show which sucks.
I think persona 4 revival (seriously not “Replay??”) was unveiled too early because Yuri forced their hand.
There’s a reason no release date was provided. That was likely pre alpha
That’s a bummer. There was a lot that looked great to me, though most of it was for 2026. Given how much good stuff there is in 2025 that I still have to get through, that’s a-okay by me.
Nice. Which ones are you looking forward to the most?
Invincible Vs shot to the top of my list as I learned more about it, as it combines some of my favorite fighting game mechanics and design philosophies. Clockwork Revolution looked better and larger in scope than I thought it would be. The Outer Worlds 2 continues to look great, and this showcase didn’t change my mind. Super Meat Boy 3D was a big surprise, and it looks like the right way to move that game into 3D.
Aphelion: I’ve been kinda out on Don’t Nod but the trailer tells me they at least still know how to pick licensed music.
Beast of Reincarnation: Didn’t know Game Freak had this in them. Still wouldn’t recommend going anywhere near their stuff without seeing reviews first.
The Blood of Dawnwalker: This is my dark horse pick coming out of this week’s showcases. Yeah, it’s a Witcher clone from CD Projekt devs, but it only needs to capture some of the Witcher magic to be great. The publisher is curious, though. This has to be Bamco’s biggest swing with a Western studio yet, right?
Persona 4 Revival: Little more than a title card reveal. Honestly, the timeline for this one works for me. No way it comes out this year, and I’m still relatively fresh off Metaphor. Good name, too. “Revival” is a very TV-coded hype term.
Beast of Reincarnation looked really cool. That’s about it though.
