Stop discrediting ways of protesting you dont like by making sruff up. The outside agitator trope is a counterinsurgency tactic to sow distrust in resistance movements.
This already happened with the George Floyd protests and in the end no proof was ever shown for this being a relevant factor in any meaningful way.
Yes, it can be used to sow distrust, and it’s also a method that has been regularly used to incite violence so the authorities can respond with escalated violence. As for proof, you mean proof like the white supremacist that police identified as having been started fires and incited violence at otherwise peaceful George Floyd protests? Or this one? Or these guys?
The use of agents provocateur to turn peaceful protests violent is so common that it’s practically a tradition at this point.
Throwing rocks, starting fires, and initiating violence? I’d say there’s a much better than 50% chance that this is someone who came to instigate violence rather that support the protest. If he’s ever arrested, I’d bet money that he turns out to have a pardon from Trump in his history or a ProudBoy tat or both.
Dear gods… he can’t build it either way. It is simply not possible with current technology. Israel’s Iron Dome system only needs to protect an area the size of New Jersey against much lower tech rockets and projectiles. Trump’s plan, and I use the term loosely, would cost anywhere from half a trillion dollars to $2.5 trillion and will not be effective.
This is just a grift that will let him pour those trillions of dollars into the pockets of his rich buddies, who will no doubt need to pay him in advance for the contracts.
Exactly.
For those doubting me and down-voting.
Salmonella can get inside eggs too. This happens while the egg is forming inside the chicken before the egg makes a shell. Today, a lot fewer egg-laying hens have this problem than during the 1980s and 1990s, so eggs are safer. But some eggs are still contaminated with Salmonella.
Wash the eggs. Wash your hands. Wash any surfaces that uncooked food comes in contact with. Cook your eggs properly (until whites and yolks are firm). For egg dishes like frittatas, you should cook them to an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. The real risk from salmonella is from foods that you eat raw like lettuce and tomatoes, etc.
“August Egg Company is not selling fresh shell eggs at this time. Our firm has voluntarily been diverting eggs to an egg-breaking plant for over 30 days, which pasteurizes the eggs and kills any potential foodborne pathogens,”
Pasteurize means heating the food to a high enough temperature for a long enough time to kill the germs. These tainted eggs are now being broken open and sterilized and sold to companies that will turn them into other products you buy. Next time you buy a breakfast sandwich at a fast food joint, or a container of egg-whites at the grocery store, it could very well be from this batch of eggs.
It’s still a good idea to refrigerate them. It is possible, if unlikely, that salmonella can get inside the shell from the mother before the egg is laid. Keeping the eggs below 40 degrees Fahrenheit will keep the germs from growing inside during storage.
Correct. If anyone can be denied due process, then anyone can be denied due process.
Working as intended, I’m afraid. 😡
A former MMA UFC fighter, who is suffering from delusions, was arrested for abusing his his own family (who he believes to be imposters), was then released on $2000 bond. A few days later he was arrested again for the same thing and released on $1000 bond. Is it maybe just possible that he shouldn’t be out at all?
Very hard to fight the lobbies. It’s already illegal to sell lab grown meat in Florida and Alabama and I’m not even sure anyone is selling it to consumers yet.
Kind of hard to tell who the bad guys are in this one.
Excellent point. I’ll add that in.
Why do people keep saying this? It wasn’t a failure at all from his perspective. He didn’t go in there to make government more efficient. He went in there to:
Get investigations and lawsuits against his companies dropped,
Get more government contracts for those companies,
and to kneecap the agencies that regulate his companies.
installed a bunch of Starlink access points all over government to upload all the data to Russia the cloud…
This was a complete success by any metric he cares about.
Edited to add the last bullet point.
Texas state legislature has passed a law making it illegal for cities to pass laws more restrictive than the state laws and Austin which is known to be full of progressives. This makes it a perfect place for Tesla to beta-test it’s software. They’ll kill people likely to vote for Democrats.
Yeah, this makes me think that maybe one of the two agents is a MAGAt and wanted to stir up something outside Obama’s place that this journalist, and I use the term very loosely, could record.
Ah, from the Breitbart school of “journalism.”
Inspector Anderson came up with what became known as the Brownsville Safety Alliance, a group of neighborhood and city groups, police officers and members of the Kings County district attorney’s office who worked together to ensure that fewer people were arrested and entangled in the criminal justice system.
Inspector Anderson said he decided he wanted to change the way precinct officers interacted with residents after he approached a woman grilling outside.
“The look of fear she gave me, and I was like ‘Wow, I didn’t come on this job for someone like that to look at me,’” he said in an interview posted by Mayor Eric Adams on social media in November 2021. “That told me we had work to do.”
I have to say, this was not the twist I was expecting. I assumed this was a case where he was letting people in who were to prone to aggression or something. Now I wonder.
I want to know why he overruled the negative psych evaluations. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to find out he was removed because he permitted applicants to progress who failed because the test showed that they weren’t violent enough.
Edit for clarity.
Cooking kills salmonella. If you cook the eggs properly (firm white and yolk) and wash your hands and cooking surfaces properly, you aren’t going to get sick. Salmonella on/in eggs isn’t too big of a deal unless you are eating them raw or under-cooked or not washing up well enough.
