Personally I don’t use YouTube the website at all at this point. I’m 100℅ Freetube and yt-dlp/Plex for watching the channels I like.
Just a guy standing in front of the internet asking it to please not

Stage Manager.
My 6th gen mini simply didn’t have enough power for that, so I’m assuming it’ll get fucked in the ass again by this OS.
If you were there he wouldn’t do or say a thing.
Top tier victim blaming, my friend.
Is that a million antelopes, or a single 1 metre long, very strong amtelope?
Cmd+Q will quit the app and it’ll drop out of your Dock straight away.
Cmd+shift+4 opens the screenshot app to area select. It’s easy as pie. I use it all the time.
BTT is a must-have, particularly if you use a non-Apple mouse. I have ctrl + l/r click to switch left and right between spaces. Also, click the scroll wheel for expose. Those couple of adjustments alone are worth its asking price.
you’ll most likely need to shell out for Parallels.
Depending on your needs, UTM might be sufficient, and it’s free. I use it on my M1 mini to run Win11 so I can check Office doc compatibility for the Windows users at work, and it’s remarkably good. I wouldn’t use it to run games or anything hefty, mind.
I set up Wallabag on my Kobo last week and really don’t like it when compared with the default Pocket implementation. Having to mess about getting it set up, and having to install KOReader just to replicate a function I already had and used extensively is irritating as hell. And it’s not as good either.
Fuck Mozilla. They didn’t have to buy Pocket, and they didn’t have to shut it down. The pricks.
What did you do to get OSM working properly? I’ve not used it enough to get to know it because it’s not been reliable enough for me. But a couple of times it’s taken me as far as a road, but didn’t know where on the road my destination was.
Haven’t Samsungs always been trash though? From a software perspective, I mean?
I’ve never owned one, but I’ve tried to troubleshoot a few for relatives, and always found their version of Android to be just cunty.
I’m thick as mince and am running GrapheneOS, AND I came from 16 years of iPhones.
If I can do it, anyone can.
It’s a masterpiece.
Further to the other answers; I have one of these for using my iPod in the car. It has the added bonus of taking line-level volume, so you set the volume from the head unit, not the iPod. And it can charge while you’re using it.
I think it’ll charge from the head unit’s USB socket without trying to connect, because the USB plug is just for charging.
Was it worth it? A new winter coat and shoes for the wife…
The game is 50GB, the other 200GB is just “fuck you” space.
My manager ordered four “4TB” external SSDs from AliExpress a few weeks back. He paid £60 total for them, delivered.
My Sus alarm started clanging, so I grabbed one off him and ran some tests on it.
After a couple of days of the tests chuntering along, I ended up reasonably convinced that they’re - at most - 40GB. And even at that capacity they’re useless, transferring at around 10MB/s
Apple are shithouses under Cook, but they’re not that bad.
Yet.
As someone who uses and enjoys a MacBook, but who has recently moved away from iOS; one of the biggest problems I have with tech right now is how much ALL of the companies cripple their products so as to not cannibalise another. And I think Apple are the worst for it.
I have a 6th gen iPad mini. It’s form factor is perfect for hand held reading, social media, and the like. If I could plug it into a monitor and use Stage Manager to carry out light computing tasks it would be perfect. But Apple decided it simply wasn’t powerful enough, so didn’t enable it. It absolutely could do that, but that would have been one less selling point for the Airs and Pros. So Apple restricted it.
I’m old enough to remember when you’d buy computing stuff that had no restrictions beyond what it was physically capable of. You could buy a shitty graphics card and you could play a game, but if the card wasn’t up to the task it would run like crap. There are games and apps you literally cannot buy for lower end models of Apple devices. If you’ve already bought it on a device that can run it, it’s not available to another that can’t.
All so they can maintain their air of quality.
Fuck Apple. They make great hardware, but they’re run by cunts.
