As history shows us, sometimes societies headed towards collapse or despotism are simply incapable of stopping themselves for one reason or another. Those societies often end up negatively impacting their neighbors and the problems are then thrust onto their doorstep where they face the same dilemmas they pretended to be capable of decisively solving just a little while prior.

By “fronting the cash and material” did you mean giving away our expiring munitions to someone fighting one of our greatest geopolitical rivals as they invade to chip away at democracy worldwide?

Even “owning” a single family home means you’re renting the lot from the local government via property tax, and if you stop paying that, I imagine they’d eventually seize the home.

Certainly legacy media has not reported on it yet, but that doesn’t invalidate a developing story as much as you imply.
