I’ve tried the foam earplugs from a drugstore/chemist’s. They’re extremely difficult to put in properly
Take the earplug and roll it between your fingers until it’s a smaller size that goes in easily. Take your other hand and grab your earlobe toward the back and bottom. Pull your lobe backward and away from your head; that straightens and opens your ear canal. The combination of these two should make it easy to insert the earplugs.
[If you like, you can play around with putting the tip of your finger at the entrance of your ear canal and then pulling the lobe with your other hand, to feel how it changes the entrance to your ear canal.]
and get dirty after a few uses.
Maybe clean your ears? Also, most of the cheap foam earplugs aren’t meant to be a long-term solution, they’re definitionally disposable.
They picked up at least once citizen who had his passport card on him and put him in detention anyway, saying the card was fake. Which is why due process for everyone is important, because otherwise you’d never get the opportunity to prove you’re really a citizen.

There was a guy who had his US passport card on him. ICE still detained him, claiming it was fake. And they’re desperately trying to get rid of due process, so there’s no opportunity to correct them.
“Harvard’s got to behave themselves,” he told reporters gathered in the Oval Office. “Harvard is treating our country with great disrespect, and all they’re doing is getting in deeper and deeper and deeper.”
Years ago, someone on Tumblr had a comment on respect, which very much applies to Trump and his fascists:
Sometimes people use ‘respect’ to mean “treating someone like a person”, and sometimes they use ‘respect’ to mean “treating someone like an authority”.
And sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say, “If you won’t respect me, I won’t respect you”; and they mean, “If you won’t treat me like an authority, I won’t treat you like a person.”
And they think they’re being fair but they aren’t, and it’s not okay.

Shame that couldn’t’ve been bothered to listen earlier, when it would’ve made a difference. How we’re all stuck in this world you wanted and we warned you against.
