I’m trying to think of other use-cases. Do you mean something like mass culling of wild hogs? That’s the only thing I can think of that isn’t killing people or sport.

I have an old android tablet that is so slow I can’t really do anything on it. So I turned it into an ebook reader. I just installed moonreader on it and manually add epub files.

It’s not defederated from lemm.ee though, which the person you replied to is on. Having said that, I haven’t really seen a lot of their users for a while now. Maybe I’m just not subscribed to the communities they participate in.

I remember when we moved in to our first home. It was just a couple days when I noticed a guy outside walking around the property with his phone on a long pole taking pictures around the house and peeking over the fence into the backyard. I get that they need to survey the house, but it feels really violating for some rando to turn up in an unmarked vehicle and start walking around your house taking videos and pictures without even notifying you first. A courtesy knock and quick explanation would’ve been appreciated.

Now they can do it without you knowing at all.
